Battle Ranch – quick look

  • In the past year, the names of the developers Indonesia began to adorn the list of games that are present in Steam. Call it like DreadOut which is now getting his Act 2, Infectonator Survivors are still in the stage of Early Access and Motte Island. This time another Indonesian developer who managed to get one of his games in the PC gaming portal. Not again dominated the island of Java, but now turn Playboom from Palembang who enliven Steam with his Battle Ranch!

Glance see screenshots that adorn this page, you may be immediately thought of the Plants vs. Zombies, PopCap artificial tower defense game that is legendary. Arguably, tower defense genre introduced by Plants vs. Zombies has become a genre of its own, which would be followed by other developers such as Battle Ranch Playboom with this. Besides Battle Ranch, you may also remember a game of Elago Tech a few years ago, the Battle Box also adopt a similar gameplay mechanism.

Battle Ranch itself has been released since the beginning of February 2015 and is present in Steam after succeeding in Steam Greenlight previous campaign. In this game, you will be faced with an arena complete with boxes of putting a bunch of plants to block the attacks of evil pigs who come to invade your yard. Yeah, so this is a battle between plants with a pig, not the plants against zombies that have become the grip of Plants vs Zombies as we know it.

Unfortunately, Playboom make weapons plant is very similar to Plants vs Zombies. There are plants that can fire a single bullet to the next every few seconds, there is a green pepper that can explode, and there is also a bean that you can use as a "wall" as difficult to pass by the pigs. Almost minimal innovation given by Playboom weapons, and according to the author it is one minus the value which was quite disappointing.

In contrast to the style of cute Plants vs. Zombies, the graphics in this game seem a little more ferocious. Animation that shows pretty good and interesting though sometimes in some parts still look a little rough. In terms of the variation mode, ten modes are offered quite exciting. One of them is the main mode Battle mode which consists of five distinct seasons, each consisting of 10 levels. Although in each stage you are introduced to the enemy or plant new weapon, but the authors think some level of this game feels repetitive.

Although in some parts of Battle Ranch is very similar to Plants vs Zombies, but writer-gimmick gimmick appreciate that they provide, such as the gameplay is slightly aromatic plantation management, as well as additional features such as Shop, Biography Book, Trophy Room, Garden, and Cowhouse . Plus, do not forget also features Strategy Guide that the authors think is helpful to define a strategy. But for those who like a challenge, seems to be rare glance at the features of this one.

Overall, Battle Ranch could be another alternative for you who are very fond of Plants vs. Zombies. This game can you get on Steam with a price tag of five dollars through the link below. Or, Playboom also provide a demo that you can try it for free if you are still hesitant to buy it.
